JOHNICK n'est autre que la réunion de JOHNNY D & NICK P, deux vétérans de la house new-yorkaise. JOHNNY D démarra avec le magasin et label HENRY STREET RECORDS qui signa notamment le tube de THE BUCKETHEADS 'THE BOMB' & ARMAND VAN HELDEN "THE FUNK PHENOMENA". Il enchaina ensuite comme Directeur Artistique du label ATLANTIC et signe EVERYTHING BUT THE GIRL et leur tube "MISSING" ainsi qu'une pleïade d'autres sorties couronnées de succès. Ce que les gens savent moins, c'est que le duo composait et produisait aussi sous le pseudo JOHNICK une house baignée dans la disco. On retrouve 22 de leurs titres sur "You Know How We Dew", titres an nonciateurs de la vague House des années 90 en France, nommée French Touch.
