The New Vaudeville Band est un groupe musical créé par le parolier Geoff Stephens (né le 1er octobre 1934 à New Southgate, North London) en 1966 pour enregistrer sa nouvelle composition Winchester Cathedral, une chanson inspirée par les orchestres dansants des années 1920 et par un style vocal Rudy Vallee megaphone. À sa surprise, la chanson devint un succès qui a traversé l'Altlantique durant l'automne, atteignant le Top 10 dans le Royaume-Uni et se classant #1 aux US. Cet enregistrement comprend les 2 seuls albums parus en 1966 et 1967 ainsi que 8 titres bonus (45 T, Démos...)
