Ilan Salem est un des flûtistes les plus reconnus d'Israël. Pour son troisième album, « Wild » , par ses compositions, il nous emmène pour un voyage à travers l'héritage d'Israël, des traditions musicales du pays à l'époque contemporaine.
Né en Israël, il commence la flûte à l'âge de onze ans et découvre le Jazz à la prestigieuse Thelma Yellin School of the Arts. Il dirige actuellement le Département Jazz de l'Université Hébraïque de Jérusalem.
Accompagné sur cet album par Amos Hoffman ( Avishaï Cohen), Gilad Abro ( Basse), Nitary Hershkovits (piano),il est rejoint sur quelques morceaux par Avishaï Cohen lui-même qui l'invite sur son label, lui offre une composition et l'accompagne à la contrebasse, au chant et au piano.
