Le coffret Tuck Box, présenté sous un format 45 tours, contient 5CD: les 3 albums originaux avec les posters de lancement édités à leur sortie et 2 compilations.
Si Nick Drake est aujourd'hui considéré comme l'un des auteurs-compositeurs les plus talentueux de son époque, son oeuvre ne fut guère reconnue de son vivant.
Son premier album, Five Leaves Left, sort en 1969. Deux autres disques, Bryter Layter et Pink Moon, paraissent les années suivantes mais leurs ventes sont très faibles.De plus, la réticence de Drake à jouer en concert ou à être interviewé n'améliore pas les choses.
Drake souffrira de dépression et d'insomnie toute sa vie, ce qui se reflète souvent dans ses paroles. Après son troisième album, Pink Moon (1972), il abandonne concerts et enregistrements pour se retirer chez ses parents, dans la campagne du Warwickshire.
Des artistes comme Robert Smith, Peter Buck, Kate Bush, Paul Weller et The Black Crowes ne cachent pas son influence sur leur musique.
