Double CD avec 39 chansons et hits!Leroy Anderson est devenu célèbre pour ses courts morceaux novateurs qu‘il a composés pour le Boston Pops Orchestra à la suggestion d‘Arthur Fiedler. Les enregistrements de ses oeuvres ont été des succès commerciaux majeurs. ''Blue Tango'' fut le premier enregistrement instrumental vendu à un million d‘exemplaires et pour lequel il obtint son premier disque d‘or.Des instrumentations ou ''instruments'' inhabituels apparaissent à plusieurs reprises dans diverses pièces d‘Anderson, par exemple le papier de verre était utilisé dans ''Sandpaper Ballet'', une machine à écrire dans ''TheTypewriter'', des cloches de traineau dans ''Sleigh Ride'', etc.En 1950 déjà, ''The Clock Syncopated'' avait été choisi parla chaîne de télévision WCBS comme thème principal du programme The Late Show. Diverses compositions d‘Anderson ont également été utilisées dans les films et la télévision.
