En 1973 Frank Zappa a fait une série de spectacles au Roxy de Los Angeles. 5 shows en 3 jours, qui sont aujourd'hui devenus légendaires. Ces représentations sont un des sommets de la carrière de Frank Zappa et de son groupe les Mothers of Invention. Comme il en avait l'habitude, Zappa à tout enregistré, et filmé.
Voici pour la première fois réuni l'enregistrement intégral des concerts des 9 et 10 décembre, le sound check du 8 décembre, et de nombreux bonus dont des répétitions, et des titres inédits. Le son a été mixé à partir des bandes multipistes en haute définition.
