Formé à Oldham en 1980, Inspiral Carpets s'est fait connaître aux côtés de groupes tels que The Stone Roses, The Charlatans et The Happy Mondays, dans le cadre de la scène Madchester à la fin des années 80 et au début des années 90. Ils ont sorti cinq albums studio comprenant leurs plus grands singles "This Is How It Feels", "She Comes In The Fall", "Saturn 5", "I Want You" et "Dragging Me Down".Pour la première fois depuis leur compilation de 2003 'Cool As', Mute-BMG annoncent une collection de singles nouvellement remasterisés ; 'The Complete Singles' comprenant tous leurs plus grands succès, disponible en 3CD ou 2LP.
