Ils formeront dans les années 70, un tandem, qui se se distinguera dans ces domaines, pour une pléthore d'artistes français populaires tels que Petula Clark, Claude François, Joe Dassin, Dalida, Régine, Sheila et Ringo.Puis en 1975, né le label de Vangarde, Zagora, et de son unique album solo. Avec ou sans son acolyte, Vangarde a également écrit et produit des morceaux restés underground, sous plusieurs pseudonymes (Starbow, Who's Who, Soul Iberica Band, Yamasuki, Rocky & Vandella...) et pour divers artistes.
