Retour sur une intégrale qui remporta tous les suffrages.
Les concerts et enregistrements des Symphonies de Mahler par Valery Gergiev à la tête du London Symphony Orchestra ont tous reçu un accueil chaleureux de la critique internationale, que ce soit à l'occasion de la tournée qui les mena en Europe, en Amérique du Nord ou en Extrême-Orient, ou bien lors des publications qui eurent lieu entre 2008 et 2011.
Désormais, toutes les symphonies sont rassemblées dans un coffret unique, alors que Valery Gergiev et l'orchestre partent en tournée tout l'automne (Londres, Édimbourg, Paris, Luxembourg, Allemagne et États-Unis) avec des cycles Brahms et Mahler. Le chef d'orchestre effectuera en outre un long périple à la tête de l'Orchestre du Théâtre Mariinsky et de l'Orchestre pour la Paix aux États-Unis et en Asie.
