Adam O'Farrill (né à Brooklyn en 1994), fils du grand pianiste cubain Arturo O'Farrill et de la pianiste AlisonDeane, petit-fils du compositeur Chico O'Farrill, sort son premier album "Stranger Days", inspiré par l'Etrangerde Camus...Il a grandi dans un environnement musical très riche, d'Olivier Messiaen à Oscar Peterson. Il commence par le piano,puis se met à la trompette à l'âge de 8 ans.Il joue rapidement avec son père mais aussi son frère Zack O'Farrill, grand percussionniste et batteur qui l'aide etl'influence. Tous les deux partagent avec lui leur amour du jazz. Les professeurs d'Adam O'Farrill ont été successivement: Jim Seeley, Nathan Warner, Thomas Smith, Cecil Bridgewater, Laurie Frink et Reiko Fütin, qui a eu un impact importantsur l'approche de la composition auprès d'Adam O'Farrill. Le trompettiste aime aussi le cinéma et cet art l'influence dansson jeu et dans l'histoire qu'il veut raconter avec sa musique.Le talentueux Adam O'Farrill a rassemblé de superbes musiciens dans "Stranger Days". Ils ont réussi à créer undisque calme, intense et parfois humoristique...mais tout le temps entraînant ! Le disque a été enregistré en février 2014.
