3 ans après son dernier album paru Février 2021, Andy LaVERNE nous propose ici son 36ème album !Lorsque le bassiste Mike Richmond prononce la phrase magique « Spot on ! » à la fin de l'enregistrement de la piste 5 de cet album, le titre de l'album a été décidé. Vous pouvez réellement l'entendre sur le disque. Il s'agit de la 36e sortie d'Andy LaVerne en tant que leader sur ce label. Notre collaboration remonte à 1977, alors qu'il effectuait une tournée européenne avec Stan Getz. Depuis, il présente des albums particulièrement créatifs. Cette nouvelle version commence par un hommage à McCoy et se termine par un hommage à Chick, tous deuxdécédés l'année dernière.Enregistré en février 2023.
