Après les succès des rééditions en coffret 4CD de « Crystal Silence » du duo Chick Corea/Gary Burton, de « Children's Song » dans la série Touchstones et prochainement du groupe mythique « Return To Forever » en vinyle, ECM s'intéresse aux albums en solo du pianiste Chick Corea parus sur le label, à travers ce coffret 3CD.La tradition du piano solo chez ECM a commencé en 1971 lorsque le pianiste enregistra une série d'improvisations et de titres jazz en deux volumes: Piano Improvisation Vol I et Piano Improvisations Vol II (disques qui ne sont plus disponibles au catalogue). Le coffret comprend également l'album « Children's Song », composé de miniatures pour piano, à la fois parfaitement ciselées et ludiques. Le livret contient un texte écrit par Chick Corea et Niels Teisser, ainsi que des photos d'archives d'une grande rareté.Nul doute que ce coffret ravira les amateurs du pianiste et ceux désireux de (re) découvrir ses albums !
