Plus de 250.000 spectateurs se sont rassemblés sur la plage de Brighton le 13 juillet 2002, dans ce qui a été décrit comme "le plus grand événement que le Royaume Uni ait jamais vu". Quatre fois plus nombreuse que prévue, la foule représentait le double de la population de Brighton. Qu'il s'agisse de raveurs novices, de vétérans, de fans inconditionnels ou de curieux locaux, le monde entier s'est rendu à Brighton pour ce qui allait devenir la plus grande fête gratuite de l'histoire britannique.
