Au fil des huit enregistrements parus chez Alpha, l'orchestre de la Wiener Akademie, dirigé par Martin Haselbock, a suivi son objectif d'enregistrer l'intégrale des symphonies de Beethoven sur instruments d'époque, dans les lieux mêmes de leurs créations, en respectant scrupuleusement l'implantation de l'orchestre d'il y a 200 ans.Les symphonies nous entraînent dans la Vienne du XIXe siècle, nous faisant visiter les Palais Lobkowitz, Hofburg et Niederosterreich, ainsi que l'Académie autrichienne des sciences et le Theater in der Josefstadt.
