C'est une partition revisitée de la Trova (chanson cubaine) que nous propose le pianiste jazz Raphaël Lemonnier et ses musiciens de la Trova Project avec un répertoire où se côtoient le Cuba des années 30-50, le blues,le jazz et la chanson française . Dans ce cabaret musical où Piaf, Satie, Bécaud rencontrent le Cuba de Maria Teresa Vera, Osvaldo Farrès, Las Faez et autres grands de la Trova, Raphaël Lemonnier vient nous rappeler que ces chansons, qu'elles soient cubaines ou françaises, sont intemporelles, universelles et bien au-delà des frontières et des styles musicaux. Chacune de ces interprétations nous livre des saveurs inédites et c'est notre mémoire qui se ré-invente.
