Faisant partie de la génération montante d'artistes africains, SPOEK MATHAMBO (rappeur, dj, graphiste, designer et illustrateur) frappe le monde avec sa prise sur l'afro-futurisme. En tant que leader des groupes electrorap SWEAT.X et PLAYDOE, Spoek est devenu en deux ans une figure proéminente de la scène internationale, attirant l'attention du New York Times ou de Fade magazine. 'Mshini Wam', son album solo tire son nom d'une chanson zouloue 'Umshini wami', apparue lors de l'apartheid et régulièrement entonnée par les membres de l'ANC (congrès national africain).
