La BOF du film 'La Dernière Tentation Du Christ' de Martin Scorsese est parue un an après la sortie en salle en 1988. Cette bande originale est considérée comme une oeuvre majeure à part entière de Peter Gabriel, très spirituelle, et fortement influencée par la musique orientale. Des invités prestigieux y sont présents comme Youssou N'Dour, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Baaba Maal, Bill Cobham ou encore Jon Hassell.
