Le Superdome est un stade mythique : construit en 1975 à La Nouvelle-Orléans (Louisiane), il a accueilli de nombreux Super Bowls (la finale du championnat de football américain), un concert des Rolling Stones, le pape Jean-Paul II, la Convention Républicaine et les réfugiés de l'ouragan Katrina. Paradoxal, le Superdome jette un pont entre le divertissement le plus grand et la détresse absolue. S'inspirant de cette logique additionnelle et schizophrénique d'un « I Can Get No Satisfaction » et d'un « Notre Père qui es aux cieux », le programme SUPERDOME réunit cinq expositions personnelles oscillant entre spectacle et vanités, décibels et prières, high-tech et chaos, dans la continuité du programme d'expositions testant la notion d'élasticité de l'oeuvre d'art entamé au Palais de Tokyo avec l'exposition Cinq milliards d'années . The Superdome is a legendary stadium: built in 1975 in New Orleans ( Louisiana ), it has hosted many Super Bowls (the finals of the American football championship), a concert by the Rolling Stones, Pope John Paul II, the Republican Convention, and refugees from Hurricane Katrina. Paradoxically the Superdome forms a bridge between superlative entertainment and total distress. Drawing inspiration from the additional schizophrenic logic of «I Can Get No Satisfaction» and «Our Father in heaven,» SUPERDOME brings together five solo exhibitions, oscillating between spectacle and conceits, decibels and prayers, high-tech and chaos, continuing the program of exhibitions testing the notion of the work of art's elasticity, first broached at the Palais de Tokyo with «Five Billion Years».
