Considéré comme le cinquième membre de The Clash, il a aussi travaillé avec Bob Marley, été manager de The Slits, croisé les genres au sein de Big Audio Dynamite. Don Letts semble avoir tout fait. C'est un cocktail enivrant de rythmes dub, de musique jamaïcaine, de spoken words, avec ce timbre de voix douce et mélodique.
