JUAN DIEGO FLÓREZ CRÉE LA SURPRISE !Le prince du bel canto, le ténor Péruvien Juan Diego Flórez, est de retour dans un opéra... baroque !Juan Diego Flórez enregistre l'opéra le plus célèbre de Gluck : Orphée et Eurydice, inspiré de l'un des mythes grecs les plus connus. Orphée (Juan Diego Flórez), qui se lamente sur le tombeau de son épouse Eurydice (Ainhoa Garmendia), apprend qu'il pourra la retrouver s'il parvient à convaincre l'Enfer, à la seule et unique condition qu'il ne regarde sous aucun prétexte sa bien-aimée lors du trajet de retour...Il s'agit ici de la version française de l'opéra, adaptée par Gluck en 1774 pour Marie-Antoinette. Juan Diego y interprète magnifiquement le sublime et célèbre air «J'ai perdu mon Eurydice...».On découvre également sur ce disque la très prometteuse soprano espagnole Ainhoa Garmendia, dont le timbre épouse parfaitement celui de Flórez, sous la baguette de Jesús Lopez-Cobos qui dirige le Choeur et l'Orchestre Symphonique du Teatro Real de Madrid.
