La légendaire chanteuse de country music EMMYLOU HARRIS revient cette fois-ci avec OLD YELLOW MOON, un album de duo avec RODNEY CROWELL. Ami de longue date, Rodney Crowell était le guitariste du Hot Band qui accompagnait Emmylou Harris au lancement de sa carrière dans les années 70.
Produit par Brian Ahern (Johnny Cash, George Jones, Roy Orbison et qui a également produit les précédents Elite Hotel, Pieces of The Sky et 1979's Blue Kentucky Girl de Harris), OLD YELLOW MOON, est la première collaboration offi cielle de HARRIS et de CROWELL depuis le Hot Band en 1975.
L'album compte aussi les participations de musiciens de renom tel que Stuart Duncan, Vince Gill et Bill Payne et les membres du Hot Band originel.
