L'album tire son titre d'une inscription peinte sur l'un des camions, faisant référence aux 32 concerts qu'ils donnaient avec seulement deux jours de repos. La liste des morceaux comprend finalement 3 titres de "Ace Of Spades", 5 de "Overkill", 1 titre de "Bomber" et 2 de leur premier album éponyme.
Sorti à l'origine le 27 juin 1981, Lemmy aurait déclaré à propos de ce disque : "Je savais que ce serait ce qui nous irait le mieux, car nous sommes vraiment un groupe de scène. Vous ne pouvez pas écouter un disque et découvrir ce que nous sommes. Il faut nous voir." Dès sa sortie, "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" est entré directement à la première place, la première et "Symptom Of The Universe", ou bien des titres surprenants tel que "Supertzar" qui fait appel à la harpe, au Mellotron et à l'English Chamber Choir.
