Désormais remasterisés en digital, ces 2 albums Live Live Bullet et Nine Tonight en sont les plus vibrants témoignages. De la reprise de Nutbush City Limits au classique Let It Rock, Live Bullet recèle une énergie brute et une conviction sans faille qui le rendent exceptionnel, (I've Been Working, Ramblin' Gamblin' Man, Lookin' Back). Généreux, frénétique, il trouve son pendant dans le Nine Tonight de 1981, tout aussi rageur et honnête (Tryin' to Live My Life Without You, Feel Like a Number.). Bob Seger, avec sa voix éraillée et son groupe en fusion, impose ici le respect jusqu'aux titres bonus (I Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody's Home, Brave Strangers). Deux Live monstrueux.
