Le 25 Octobre 2010 s'est éteint Gregory Isaacs, l'un des plus grands chanteurs Reggae de tous les temps. Après plus de 40 ans de carrière, cette figure incontournable de la musique Jamaïcaine laisse derrière lui pas moins de 400 albums et compilations.Né en 1951 en Jamaïque Gregory Isaacs fait partie des pères fondateurs du Reggae au même titre que Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Bunny Wailer, Jacob Miller et bien d'autres.En 1976 il écrit et compose « Love Overdue » qui deviendra le tube incontestable du film « Rockers » et le propulsera au rang d'inventeur du Reggae Love. Avec son surnom de Cool Ruler, il reste le crooneur Jamaicain le plus connu dans le monde.
