«Mitologia » est le titre du dernier enregistrement consacré à Händel par le grand spécialiste de musique ancienne, claveciniste et chef Alan Curtis, décédé à Florence en juillet 2015. «Mitologia » allie airs, duettos et parties instrumentales extraits des oeuvres de Georg Friedrich Händel reposant toutes sur la mythologie gréco-romaine. La musique illustre des personnages tragiques et des héros antiques tels Hercule, Sémélé et Parthénope. Les solistes sont la soprano allemande Christiane Karg, une des sopranos lyriques les plus demandées actuellement, et l'alto italienne Romina Basso.Alan Curtis dirige l'orchestre «Il Complesso Barocco».
