Résumé
Le célèbre cycle des symphonies de Mahler enregistré par Leonard Bernstein dans les années 1980 est présenté pour la première fois en coffret vinyle limité et numéroté.Bernstein y dirige trois orchestres étroitement liés à Mahler, soit par ses compositions, soit parce qu'il les a dirigés : l'Orchestre royal du Concertgebouw, l'Orchestre philharmonique de New York et l'Orchestre philharmonique de Vienne. Parmi les solistes figurent Barbara Hendricks (n° 2), Christa Ludwig (n° 2 & 3) et, entre autres, Margaret Price et José van Dam (n° 8).Cette édition comprend 16 vinyles et présente chaque symphonie dans une pochette séparée, basée sur la publication originale respective, avec des illustrations de l'artiste Art déco Erté et des notes de pochette originales en anglais et en allemand.
