(Damon Albarn)Afel Bocoum est un musicien, guitariste et chanteur malien qui collabore dès ses 13 ans avec son oncle, le légendaire Ali Farka Touré au sein du groupe Asco. Il quittera le groupe en 1978 mais poursuivra sa collaboration avec Ali Farka Touré jusqu'à la disparition de ce dernier.Afel Bocoum revient donc en 2020 avec un second album "LINDÉ", nommé d'après l'étendue sauvage proche de Niafunké où Afel et ses amis d'enfance allaient jouer et chasser. L'album délivre son flux non seulement avec grâce et profondeur, mais aussi avec audace. Afel Bocoum fait partie de ces musiciens, aujourd'hui en nombre décroissant, qui appartiennent à cette génération révolutionnaire qui, dans les années 80 et 90, a mélangé la musique traditionnelle avec des sons venus d'Europe et des Etats-Unis.
