Alors que les précédents albums de la soprano Fatma Said parus chez Warner Classics ont traversé les cultures et les genres musicaux, celui-ci se concentre entièrement sur des lieder de l'ère romantique: Schubert, Mendelssohn, Schumann et Brahms. Pour ce nouvel enregistrement, Fatma Said a fait appel aux pianistes, Malcolm Martineau, Joseph Middleton et Yonatan Cohen, à la harpiste Anneleen Lenaerts, la clarinettiste Sabine Meyer, le Quatuor Arod, l'ensemble vocale Walhalla zum Seidlwirt ainsi que le baryton Huw Montague Rendall.
