Résumé
En mai 2006 paraissait l'enregistrement de la création française de l'opéra Königskinder de Humperdick (Les Enfants du roi en français), une production du Festival de Radio-France et Montpellier avec une très belle distribution dirigée par Armin Jordan, dont un certain Jonas Kaufmann triomphant dans le rôle du prince de ce conte de fée.
Supprimé du catalogue dans sa présentation initiale, l'opéra revient à la discographie du célèbre ténor bénéficiant d'un nouvel habillage.
Il s'agit ici d'un très bel et rare enregistrement, fortement salué par la critique pour le travail remarquable des choeurs et des chanteurs.
Un document considéré par ailleurs comme le testament musical du chef Armin Jordan disparu en 2006, devenu de ce fait plus précieux encore
