La Neue Zürcher Zeitung décrit le pianiste suisse See Siang Wong comme un «peintre sonore sensible». Pour le 250ème anniversaire de Beethoven, il présente un album captivant rassemblant des oeuvres pour piano de Beethoven parmi les moins connues : la Sonate pour piano n° 13 en mi bémol majeur «Quasi una fantasia» et la Fantaisie en sol mineur op. 77, toutes deux pour piano solo. En outre, il a enregistré la Fantaisie en do mineur pour piano, choeur et orchestre op. 80 avecle Wiener Singverein et l'Orchestre symphonique de la radio ORF de Vienne sous la direction de Leo Hussain. Dans ses Sonates fantastiques, Beethoven donne libre cours à la forme et se dispense de la structure conventionnelle de la sonate. Les différents mouvements se succèdent sans interruption et s'harmonisent à la manière d'une fantaisie, formant ainsi une structure unique et unifiée. L'album comprend également l'une des oeuvres pour piano les plus célèbres de Beethoven, la Sonate du Clair de Lune.
