L'Orchestre National de Jazz Olivier Benoit, qui vient de fêter
les 30 ans de l'ONJ en compagnie des chefs historiques de
l'institution au cours d'une soirée exceptionnelle dans le cadre
du festival Jazz à la Villette, poursuit son ambitieux périple
musical à travers l'Europe avec son projet EUROPA. Décliné en
quatre programmes, Europa propose une série de portraits de
capitales culturelles européennes.
Après EUROPA PARIS et EUROPA BERLIN, les deux premiers
albums de l'orchestre aux multiples récompenses, qui ont dévoilé
l'écriture singulière et flamboyante d'Olivier Benoit aux confins du
jazz, de la musique répétitive, minimaliste et du rock, l'ONJ
présente EUROPA ROME, le troisième chapitre de son projet
européen, offrant cette fois à travers l'univers de deux
compositeurs invités, Benjamin de la Fuente et Andrea Agostini,
une passionnante incursion dans la musique contemporaine.
Une nouvelle aventure à vivre avant de découvrir prochainement
EUROPA OSLO, l'ultime création qui viendra clore le projet. Pour
ce quatrième répertoire Olivier Benoit a choisi d'explorer la pop et
le chant en invitant à se joindre à son orchestre la talentueuse
Jessica Sligter, songwriter norvégienne.
