Résumé
Avec le label Alpha, Giovanni Antonini se consacre depuis plus de cinq ans à l'enregistrement de l'intégrale des symphonies de Joseph Haydn. La série s'enrichit d'un autre monument du compositeur autrichien : Die Schopfung (La Création), enregistré en 2019 avec le Choeur de la Radio bavaroise et son orchestre Il Giardino Armonico. Ce grand oratorio fut inspiré par ceux de Haendel, joués par de grands ensembles et entendus par Haydn lors de ses visites en Angleterre. La Création, composée entre septembre 1796 et avril 1798, lui demanda un investissement colossal, si bien qu'il en tomba même malade juste après sa première exécution ; mais l'oeuvre connut un immense succès.Le mariage entre le choeur bavarois, si familier de ce chef-d'oeuvre et les musiciens baroque du Giardino Armonico fonctionne à merveille, avec un trio vocal composé de solistes de premier plan : Anna Lucia Richter, Maximilian Schmitt et Florian Boesch.
