L'essence d'un opéra en 10 minutes ? Découvrez D.I.V.A : cinq chanteuses lyriques accompagnées par un quatuor à cordes revisitent de grands opéras dans un format réduit d'une dizaine de minutes chacun.
Comme une succession de tableaux, chaque opéra est présenté de manière actuelle et contemporaine, humoristique, sérieuse ou décalée. Chacune des oeuvres est réduite dans son essence, portée par des femmes qui chantent tous les rôles - masculins inclus - et s'offre ainsi une nouvelle jeunesse. Ces adaptations innovantes, ludiques et pédagogiques traversent les frontières de genre, prennent un nouveau sens et deviennent accessibles au plus grand nombre. Elles s'amusent tout en mettant un point d'honneur à ne pas trahir la musique. Le compositeur Olivier Rabet arrange, transpose et réduit sans abîmer chaque opéra : "Carmen" (G. Bizet), "La Traviata" (G. Verdi), "Tosca" (G. Puccini), "Les Contes d'Hoffmann" (J. Offenbach) ainsi que "Don Giovanni" et "La Flûte Enchantée" de W.A. Mozart.
