ANDY COLMAN, est un bassiste étonnant , avec un talent comparable à des légendes tel telles que LALO SCHIFFRIN, OLIVER NELSON et QUINCY JONES, ou à leurs homologues britanniques RONNIE HAZELHURST et ALAN HAWKSHAW. Le son jazz-funk d'ANDY COLMAN CARTEL, inspiré des bandes sonores des films et de la télévision des années 60 et 70, a d'abord attiré l'attention avec le titre " You What ! ", figurant sur la compilation "Sounds From The Soul Underground" sorti sur Freestyle en 2011. Le groupe sort donc tout naturellement "Cypher", un 1er album sur le label.
