Robert Leroy Johnson était un guitariste et chanteur de blues américain. Bien que n'ayant commencé à enregistrer que trois ans avant sa mort en 1938, Robert Johnson est devenu une légende et une grande source d'inspiration pour des artistes tels que Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Bob Dylan, Brian Jones, Keith Richards ou encore Eric Clapton (Cream). En 2003, le magazine Rolling Stone l'a classé 5e meilleur guitariste de tous les temps.
