Résumé
Inclus le Second Concerto pour violon de John Mayer, d’inspiration indienne, commandé à l’origine pour feu Erich Gruenberg en 1978, et joué par Sasha Rozhdestvensky, fils de Guennadi Rozhdestvensky. Le ‘Concerto for the Instruments of an Orchestra’ a été créé en 1976 par le London Philharmonic Orchestra et Bernard Haitink. ‘Pranam’ pour sitar, tabla et orchestre de Jonathan Mayer s’inspire de la danse indienne de Kathak et a été créé en République tchèque en 2017. Son deuxième concerto de Sitar a été présenté de nouveau en République tchèque en 2019 et toutes les œuvres ici jouées sont sous la direction du chef d’orchestre indien Debashish Chaudhuri.
