Résumé
Ce coffret de 4 CD présente trois des plus belles oeuvres sacrées du répertoire interprétées par Les petits chanteurs de Sainte-Croix de Neuilly, l’un des choeurs d’enfants les plus réputés en France, et dirigé par François Polgar, qui est lui-même une sommité du chant choral et un arrangeur de renom. Parmi ces 3 oeuvres, "La Passion selon St Jean" de Jean-Sébastien Bach est une nouveauté enregistrée tout début 2014, et peut-être la plus belle oeuvre du compositeur allemand écrite en 1724 peu après son installation à Leipzig. L’oeuvre est ici sublimée par le choeur d’enfants accompagné par le collège de musique sacrée, orchestre spécialisé dans l’interprétation sur instruments anciens, et dont les membres sont tous musiciens professionnels des orchestres de Radio France, de l’Opéra de Paris, etc. Sont présentes également deux rééditions, dont le "Stabat Mater" de Pergolèse enregistré en 2001, cette version est une première mondiale. Il s’agit en effet d’une version pour voix d’enfants, alto et soprano, accompagnés par l’Ensemble Seicentonovecento (deux violons, alto, violoncelle, violone, et orgue). Seconde réédition, le magnifique Requiem de Fauré enregistré en 1989 et accompagné à l’orgue par Jean-François Hatton, clôturant de manière magistrale ce coffret Cantus Angelicus.
