Le 10 août 2004, Mark Lanegan publiait « Bubblegum ». Composé aux côtés de PJ Harvey, Josh Homme et Nick Oliveri de Queens of the Stone Age ou encore Greg Dulli de The Afghan Whigs, « Bubblegum » est le plus grand succès de Mark Lanegan, atteignant notamment la 39e place du classement des albums indépendants du Billboard. À l'image du rock torturé de « Amphetamine Blues », ces quinze titres nous plongent dans un univers mélancolique et tellement sombre qu'il en devient romantique. Publié il y a vingt ans, cet album témoigne du talent et de la profondeur artistique de Mark Lanegan. Pour fêter l'anniversaire de cette sortie, Beggars Arkive réédite l'album en édition remasterisée 2LP ainsi qu'en édition 3CD et en coffret spécial 4LP avec plus de 40 titres, dont 12 inédits.
