Pour marquer le 40e anniversaire de son premier enregistrement en tant que chef d'orchestre, en 1984, le saxophoniste alto Jim Snidero s'est lancé dans la création de quelque chose de spécial avec son 28ème album et son deuxième projet en trio à ce jour, avec les maîtres du jazz, Peter Washington à la basse et Joe Farnsworth à la batterie. À la suite du succès de For All We Know (Savant), en particulier le morceau vedette « Parkers Mood », Snidero a estimé que le moment était venu de rendre hommage à Charlie Parker, un artiste qu'il considère au sommet de la montagne. Classé parmi les cinq meilleurs saxophonistes alto dans le sondage 2024 des critiques de Down Beat, Snidero est plus que qualifié pour honorer l'un des pionniers du bebop.
