Soeurs d'origine roumaine Sarah et Deborah Nemtanu forment une véritable dynastie de joueuse de violon.
Sarah est chef de l'Orchestre National de France depuis 2001 et Deborah conduit l'Orchestre de Chambre de Paris.
Elles ont commencé à étudier le violon avec leur père Vladimir qui a mené l'Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine.
Les deux femmes ont en 2015 enregistré le Double Concerto de Bach acclamé par la critique.
Dans ce nouvel album tous les titres sont basés sur la musique folklorique de nombreux pays d'Europe orientale. La liberté harmonique et rythmique exigé par la musique est une seconde nature pour elles.
