La Lautten Compagney présente à nouveau un programme baroque unique construit sur l'usage de changements de genre dans des rôles d'Opéras baroques. Il n'était pas rare de voir sur scène des rôles de femmes chantés par des hommes, et inversement. Cet album est une collaboration de la Lautten Compagney et de la mezzo-soprano Vivica Genaux et du contre-tenor Lawrence Zazzo, tous deux familiers de ces changements de genres, et contient des airs, des duos et oeuvres instrumentales tirés d'Opéras de Haendel, Hasse, Vivaldi, Porpora, Galuppi et bien d'autres.
