La France ne la connaît pas encore, mais Amy Winehouse est sûrement l'une des artistes féminines la plus douée de ces dernières années. Ce qui n'a d'ailleurs pas échappé à nos voisins britanniques, puisqu'en 2003, alors qu'elle n'est âgée que de 20 ans, son premier album Frank vend plus de 250 000 copies et lui vaut le Ivor Novello Award pour l'écriture de l'irrésistible Stronger Than Me. Alors que Frank portait la marque de sa formation jazz d'origine, Back To Black s'imprègne d'une soul profonde aux accents de Motown. Certes la forme s'est allégée, mais Amy s'est assuré un résultat de grande classe avec Mark Ronson et Salaam Remi à la production ou l'aide des Dap-Kings sur You Know I'm No Good.
