Résumé
Premier Royaume Chrétien, l'Arménie est aujourd'hui un pays en lutte pour sa survie. Ce disque, enregistré au Château de Versailles et au Monastère de la Sainte Lance de Geghard en Arménie, renouvelle le sentiment fraternel qui unit nos deux peuples et en invoque les âmes passées et présentes, comme le qanuniste virtuose Narek Kazazyan, pivot de ce programme, en duos avec la grande violoncelliste Astrig Siranossian, et le flutiste Helbert Asatryan. Par l'alternance de chants sacrés du Yerevan Holy Cross Choir et de pièces orchestrales issues du répertoire traditionnel, c'est toute l'Arménie qui se voit rendre ici le plus flamboyant des hommages, pour défendre ce que les armes ne sauraient terrasser : son âme ancestrale.
