En décembre 2020, les membres de The Wild Feathers se sont rendus dans une cabane construite avant la Civil War à VanLeer (Tennessee) où lesidées et les chansons de "Alvarado" ont émergé pour la toute première fois.Auparavant, le groupe aimait rassembler toutes les chansons qu'il avaitécrites au cours de l'année écoulée, conceptualiser et répéter isolément dans une cabane avant de se rendre en studio. Cette fois, pour leur quatrième album studio, ils ont décidé d'amener le studio à la cabane. Les gars ont passé une semaine à jammer et à créer tout en ayant la possibilité d'enregistrer les performances tant qu'elles étaient fraîches. Produit par le groupe, "Alvarado" est la représentation la plus fidèle de The Wild Feathers à ce jour. Pas de musiciens extérieurs, pas d'opinions extérieures, juste les membres jouant de nouvelles chansons dans une pièce avec les meilleurs micros qu'ils ont pu trouver.
