Résumé
FRED FISHER - tromboniste, chanteur, compositeur et songwriter, a dès 1972 écrit des albums pour EMI et Afrosia sur lesquels il a définit l'Asolo Rock, un mélange de funk/rock afro avec des mélodies soul. Avec son groupe, il a tourné dans le Nigeria et ouvert pour FELA KUTI qui remarqua et vola son musicien BOB OHIRI, l'obligeant ainsi à annuler sa tournée et tomber peu à peu dans l'oubli, se produisant aujourd'hui seulement en tant que musicien de session. African Carnaval lui rend désormais hommage, en proposant une compilation de 4 de ces albums:
