Fondé par Ritchie Blackmore, après son départ de Deep Purple, le groupe va connaître plusieurs formations jusqu'en 1997. Les musiciens changent mais la ligne directrice et les fondamentaux du groupe demeurent grâce au guitariste virtuose : des grands hymnes rock - tels Long Live Rock And Roll et All Night Long - jusqu'à des titres plus mystiques - Starglazer ou Man On A Silver Mountain
En outre, les contributions du chanteur Ronnie James Dio et du batteur Cozy Powell ont profondément marqué l'histoire du groupe.

Une rétrospective de la carrière du groupe avec de nombreux titres rares en 5 CD.
Le DVD du concert Monsters of Rock de 1980 avec Grahame Bonnet.
Un livret de 60 pages avec de nombreuses photos inédites.
