"Sur 3CD, 50 titres sélectionnés par Ian Anderson, issus des 21 albums du groupe. Le groupe Jethro Tull a donné son premier concert au Marquee Club de Londres le 2 février 1968. Cette date marque le début de son épopée musicale, qui l'amena à devenir un des groupes les plus célèbres de Rock Progressif. Cette compilation '50 FOR 50' permet restitue toute la diversité du catalogue de Jethro Tull. Avec son tracklisting agencé de façon chronologique, elle témoigne de l'évolution musicale du groupe, débutant par des titres mâtinés de blues ("Beggar's Farm", "A New Day Yesterday"), auxquels succèdent d'autres plus Heavy ("Aqualung", "Locomotive Breath") avant d'aborder des versants 'Prog Classic' ("Skating Away", "Critique Oblique") et folk ("Songs From The Wood", "Heavy Horses.").'50 FOR 50' propose aussi les morceaux "Steel Monkey," "Farm On The Freeway" et "Budapest" - trois chansons issues de leur album 'Crest Of A Knave' (1987), qui leur valut un Grammy® Awards.
