En 1964, paraissait le premier album des Hollies...

Connus pour leur son unique et leurs harmonies hors du commun, The Hollies (Allan Clarke, Bobby Elliott, Tony Hicks, Graham Nash et Eric Haydock) comptent parmi les pionniers de la Pop. Depuis leur premier album en 1964, ils sont devenus une référence de la musique britannique, et ont trusté les charts tout au long des années 60 et 70. Leur importance leur a permis d'entrer au Rock and Roll Hall of Fame en 2010.
Cette édition 3CD 50 AT FIFTY permet de revivre l'histoire du groupe à travers leurs chansons, de leur premier single (Ain't That) Just Like Me au tout récent Skylarks. Enregistrés entre 1963 et 2014, tous leurs hits sont presents (Look Through Any Window, Bus Stop, The Air That I Breathe, Long Cool Woman entre autres) aux côtés des plus confidentiels Hey Willy, Lonely Hobo Lullaby ou encore Boulder To Birmingham. Des versions live de On A Carousel (en 1967) et Too Young To Be Married (en 1970) complètent cette magnifique sélection.
