Résumé
Après One for All le premier album des Brand Nubian en 1990 et Reel to Reel son premier album solo en 1992, Grand Puba s'éloignait de la scène hip-hop. Trois ans plus tard il réapparaissait d'abord dans une pub pour Sprite puis avec son deuxième album intitulé 2000. Puba se distingue alors par l'inventivité de sa rime, un peu d'arrogance à la Slick Rick, des références à la culture populaire à la Biz Markie et un rap bien distinctif. On y trouve les productions des meilleurs de l'époque Buckwild (D.I.T.C.), Mark Sparks Minnesota, DJ Alamo, Dante Ross & Stud ainsi qu'un featuring de Nubian Sadat X. Cette version Deluxe inclut des remixes et a capella inédits sur CD.
