Joe (Joseph) Oliver, dit « King » (1885-1938), est un cornettiste et compositeur américain de jazz, fondateur et chef d'orchestre du Creole Jazz Band.
Il démarra sa carrière dès 1908 et joua jusqu'au milieu des années 30.
En 1922, il découvrit un petit cornettiste et l'intègre à son Orchestre...Louis Armstrong !
